Terms of Service
MoveMyLot.com
Last updated: August 21, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of MoveMyLot.com and any pickup, delivery, hauling, transport, moving-assistance, or related services offered by MoveMyLot (collectively, the "Services"). By using the website, requesting service, accepting a quote, or allowing us to perform Services, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the website or Services.
2. Service Requests and Estimates
Submitting a request through the website does not by itself create a binding obligation for MoveMyLot to perform Services. A request is subject to availability, service-area limitations, item restrictions, access conditions, and our acceptance.
Any price communicated before service may be based on information you provide, including item type, quantity, dimensions, weight, pickup and delivery locations, stairs, elevators, walking distance, loading conditions, special handling, waiting time, and other factors. If the actual job materially differs from the information provided, we may revise the price before continuing.
3. Customer Responsibilities
You are responsible for providing accurate information about the items and locations involved in the job; ensuring that you have the legal right and authority to move the items; providing safe and reasonable access to pickup and delivery locations; disclosing stairs, narrow hallways, elevators, long carries, restricted parking, fragile items, unusually heavy items, or other conditions that may affect the job; and securing or preparing items as reasonably requested.
You are responsible for obtaining any building, property, parking, elevator, loading-dock, or access permissions required for the Services.
4. Items We May Refuse
We may refuse to transport or handle items that we reasonably believe are unsafe, illegal, hazardous, improperly packaged, excessively heavy, unusually fragile, contaminated, infested, or otherwise unsuitable for the requested service. Examples may include hazardous chemicals, explosives, firearms or ammunition, illegal drugs, stolen property, live animals, certain perishable goods, and other regulated or dangerous materials.
We may also decline a job when access, weather, road, parking, building, or site conditions create an unreasonable safety risk.
5. Pickup, Delivery, and Access
You must ensure that an authorized person is available at pickup and delivery when required. Delays caused by unavailable contacts, inaccessible locations, inaccurate addresses, building restrictions, or items not being ready may result in rescheduling, cancellation, or additional charges if disclosed and agreed before continuing.
Estimated pickup and delivery times are not guarantees. Traffic, weather, prior jobs, road closures, access problems, mechanical issues, and other circumstances may cause delays.
6. Payment
Prices and accepted payment methods will be communicated as part of the booking or service process. Unless otherwise agreed, payment is due at the time communicated by MoveMyLot. If a third-party payment service is used, that service may impose its own terms and fees.
You are responsible for any agreed charges resulting from materially inaccurate job information, additional requested work, waiting time, added items, changed destinations, or access conditions that were not disclosed when the price was quoted.
7. Cancellations and Rescheduling
Cancellation and rescheduling are subject to the policy communicated at booking. We ask that customers notify us as early as possible if plans change. MoveMyLot may cancel or reschedule Services because of unsafe conditions, vehicle or equipment problems, severe weather, emergencies, inaccurate job information, nonpayment, or other circumstances that make performance impractical or unsafe.
8. Condition of Items and Damage
You should inspect items before and after transport. Pre-existing wear, loose components, weak joints, veneer damage, internal electronic defects, concealed damage, and other conditions may not be visible before handling.
If you believe an item was damaged during the Services, notify MoveMyLot promptly and provide reasonable supporting information, including photos when available. Any liability will be determined under applicable law and the facts of the specific job. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
9. Electronics, Fragile Items, and Internal Condition
Unless MoveMyLot expressly agrees otherwise in writing, we do not test the internal operation of electronics, appliances, mechanical devices, or similar items before or after transport. A device that appears physically intact may have pre-existing or latent internal defects. Customers should back up data and secure removable media before transport where applicable.
10. Customer Property and High-Value Items
You should personally retain cash, jewelry, important documents, medications, keys, financial instruments, irreplaceable collectibles, and other unusually valuable or sensitive property unless MoveMyLot expressly agrees to handle them. Tell us in advance if an item has unusual value or requires special handling.
11. Website Use
You may use MoveMyLot.com only for lawful purposes. You may not interfere with website operation, attempt unauthorized access, introduce malicious code, scrape or misuse site data, impersonate another person, submit fraudulent requests, or use the site in a manner that violates law or the rights of others.
12. Third-Party Services
MoveMyLot may use or link to third-party services such as maps, payment providers, communication tools, scheduling tools, or hosting providers. Your use of a third-party service may also be subject to that provider's terms. MoveMyLot is not responsible for third-party services outside our control.
13. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the website and Services are provided on an "as available" basis. Except for obligations that cannot be disclaimed by law, MoveMyLot does not make warranties that the website will be uninterrupted or error-free or that any particular service time, route, outcome, or availability is guaranteed.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MoveMyLot will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages arising from the website or Services, including lost profits, lost business, loss of use, or loss of data. Any limitation in these Terms applies only to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived or limited.
15. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to be responsible for claims, losses, costs, or expenses arising from your unlawful conduct, your lack of authority to move an item, materially false information you provide, prohibited items you tender for transport, or your violation of these Terms.
16. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to MoveMyLot's principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where another law must apply. Any dispute will be handled in a court or other forum with lawful jurisdiction unless the parties separately agree to another dispute-resolution process.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on MoveMyLot.com with a revised "Last updated" date. Changes apply prospectively unless applicable law requires otherwise.
18. Severability and Entire Agreement
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect to the fullest extent permitted by law. These Terms, together with any written quote, booking confirmation, or service-specific terms accepted by you, form the agreement relating to the applicable Services.
19. Contact
Questions about these Terms may be submitted using the contact information published on MoveMyLot.com.
